Unlike my name suggests, Bear Studios is not yet a real studios. As of right now, I am just one artist pursuing her big dreams one step at a time.
Currently, I am a 2D animation student attending Emily Carr University of Art and Design. With every piece, I aim to channel goose tenacity and bear spirit. Inspired by the world and the creatures around me, I extend my art practice across many mediums. I am a painter, a collage-er, a hobbyist sculptor, a 2D animator and an illustrator. I use art to better communicate with and understand the world around me. Through my work, I am able to explore feelings and concepts I would not be able to otherwise. I use silly characters and bright colours to express complex subjects. Above all else, I want my work to tell stories and leave viewers with a sense of whimsy.
